Which industries and professions qualify for the clé trade program?

Licensed general or tile contractors, architects, and designers.

 

What are the requirements for the trade program?

To apply to clé’s trade program, you must have the following:

  • A registered business name
  • Company website
  • A professional email that includes the name of your company
  • AND / OR a valid and active professional trade license

 

When submitting a professional trade license, please attach at least one of the following:

  • Valid membership to a major design organization (e.g ASID, IIDA, AIA, NKBA, IDC)
  • Interior Design Certification (e.g. NCIDQ, CCIDC)
  • Valid Business License that verifies the validity of the business as an Interior Design, Architect or Home Contractor based business.

 

Although it’s not required, it’s strongly recommended that you include your portfolio and/or project information in your application, if readily available. Our sales specialists assist many clients every day and want to understand your unique requirements to best match our products with your project.

 

Can I apply for the trade program if I live in Canada?

Yes - you can use the link above to apply. Once approved for the trade program you will need to email contact@cletile.com with the project information. This applies for sample orders and full orders. At this time, Canadian clients cannot place an order directly through the website. However, if you wish to place an order through one of our sales representatives, please keep in mind that our current minimum order for most tiles is 250 square feet (23.23 square meters).

 

Please note import duties, taxes, and charges are not included in the item price or shipping cost. clé does not provide customs brokerage services. These charges and services are the buyer's responsibility. Please refer to the Canadian Border Services Agency (CBSA) to determine what additional costs you will incur prior to your purchase.

 

Can I apply for the trade program if I live outside of the United States?

Yes - you can use the link above to apply. Once approved for the trade program you will need to email contact@cletile.com with the project information. This applies for sample orders and full orders. At this time, international clients cannot place an order directly through the website. However, if you wish to place an order through one of our sales representatives, please keep in mind that our current minimum order for most tiles is 250 square feet (23.23 square meters).

What are the benefits of the trade program?

One of the benefits of being in the clé trade program is receiving discounted trade pricing. All trade program benefits will be provided via email upon approval of your trade application.

 

I have been declined, can I re-apply?

If your application has been declined, it’s most likely due to a lack of qualifying information. You may re-apply and if you choose to, please include the following information:

  • A registered business name
  • Company website
  • A professional email that includes the name of your company
  • AND / OR a valid and active professional trade license

 

Is the clé trade discount valid on all products on the website?

The trade discount can be used on all items on https://www.cletile.com/ with the exception of items under “basics” and “second shelf”.

 

How will I know when I have been accepted?

Once you have been accepted to the trade program you will receive a welcome email detailing the program. In addition, in your account details section you will see the following:

 

 

If I’m a homeowner working with a designer am I eligible for the trade program?

You are not personally eligible for the program but your designer is, they may apply through the link above.

 

Can I add another person to my clé trade account?

No, our accounts are based on the individual rather than the company or the firm. However, multiple trade accounts from a single firm or company are welcome.

 

Can I apply for my contractor?

No, you cannot apply on behalf of your contractor. They must go through the application process themselves to set up their account and provide their specific information.

 

How do I receive a quote on the trade program?

To determine the total price of your order, first go to the product page(s) of the product(s) you wish to purchase. Input the amount of product needed and press the “add to cart” button. In your shopping cart, you will see the total cost after your trade discount is applied. The price in cart does not including shipping.

 

How do I request samples through the trade program?

Requesting samples through the trade program is no different than the normal sample ordering process. Simply go the the product page of the item you wish to purchase, add the desired amount to your shopping cart using the 'request sample’ button and checkout. Your trade discount will be reflected when items are placed in your shopping cart.

 

How do I place orders through the trade program?

Ordering products through the trade program is no different than the normal ordering process. Simply go the the product page of the item you wish to purchase, add the desired amount to your shopping cart using the ‘add to cart’ button and checkout. Your trade discount will be reflected when items are placed in your shopping cart.

 

Can I place my order for my contractor using my own account?

No, your contractor will need to place the order through their own account for it to be considered a ‘trade order’.

 

What is the clé trade return policy?

clé does NOT accept returns on any of our products in order to minimize inconsistencies. We encourage viewing multiple samples prior to ordering. Please consider ordering three to four samples of the same product to see the level of variation you can expect with a full order.
